Geriatric Nurse Practitioner specializes in professional nursing care for aging and elderly individuals. Promotes health and wellness education and preventive disease management to support an optimal level of health, promote quality of life, and deliver quality, individualized care. 23 years of demonstrated geriatrics experience impacting care and comfort of the senior population while building meaningful relationships with patients, families, and health care providers.

I have worked in long term care facilities for 23 years. During the pandemic I was made aware of patients in the community not being seen by providers due to not being vaccinated against COVID or had an active COVID infection. I witnessed patients and coworkers be pressured into taking the COVID vaccine and experimental drugs for COVID 19 treatment. I decided I wanted to make a bigger difference in the community. I started making home visits in the community for those who were having trouble accessing care. Word of mouth advertising spread and I cared for about 40 patients at home during the pandemic, working for donations only. I have now opened my own small mobile practice to continue to help those in the community who have trouble accessing medical care or prefer to be seen in their own homes when sick. I would like to continue this and eventually have enough business to work full time caring for patient in their own homes and providing my patients with the knowledge needed for them to make educated decisions regarding their care.
