In my role as Board Consultant to the SG Foundation, I have had the pleasure and responsibility of visiting, evaluating, reporting and making grant recommendations for projects helping the poorest of the poor across the world. The SG foundation uses these recommendations to make grant to programs across the world. As a former entrepreneur, I am able to quickly adapt to any situation and use my business and communication skills to communicate effectively to multiple, diverse stakeholders.
My role at Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics included grant writing, donor relationships building, experience in finding common ground between multiple stakeholders. I also presented to the board monthly and met directly with donors and community members, and presented ideas and concepts in engaging presentations. I developed and administered nonprofit programs directly and gained a lot of understanding of the needs of the underserved as well as the importance of creating culturally sensitive and inclusive programs that help people help themselves by engaging them directly.
Non-Profit Accomplishments:
Increased access to care for low income families in Santa Barbara, by 17,000 lives, by expanding clinics, adding services and streamlining operations.
Led Multiple grant making trips in Cuba, Mexico and South America, resulting in multiple grant awards benefitting the poorest of the poor.
Designed and implemented multiple community health projects supported through fundraising, and grant writing which resulted in multi-million dollar grants for the organization. Personally, wrote multiple large grant proposals and was responsible for the administration of all funds awarded.
