Providing direct services and case management specific to the criminal justice system with victims of crime, specifically victims of Domestic Violence. This involves coordinating with police as well as community partners in helping victims and survivors after they have been victimized to plan for their safety and recover from being the victim of a crime . This also involves being on call response to crime scenes, crisis situations with large groups of people, and to assist with death notifications. Additionally, in this position I provide training to law enforcement and other professionals on the dynamics of domestic violence and other topics related to victimization. I sit on numerous statewide committees such as the Domestic Violence Task Force,Delaware Network ( Delaware Alliance Against Sexual Violence), and have experience chairing and co-chairing other subcommittees.

Victim Impact Program Facilitator

Facilitating the Victim Impact curriculum to a group of 15-20 incarcerated female offenders at Hazel D. Plant Correctional Facility. The goal of Victim Impact is to teach offenders about the impact of crime on victims, help to build empathy, resulting in reduced recidivism rates amongst participants. This also involves addressing victimization that the participants have experienced, and how the trauma has impacted them.
