• Ensures compliance with NREMT and Army EMS regulations by delivering the most up to date instruction per DOT/Army policies and guidelines.
• Maintained the Medics training and credentialing via an Army wide database (certification/recertification)
• Conducted in-person and blended learning sessions as well as developed lessons plans, instructional material and written exams.
• Analyzed and evaluated training effectiveness and conducted needs assessments to identify gaps in performance in order to develop targeted learning solutions.

• Worked as a Paramedic in the Emergency Room of a Level II Trauma and Burn Center that received greater than 220 patients daily.
• Triaged patients as they came into the facility in the acute care and trauma sides of the ER.
• Delivered patient care up to what the level of the current scope of practice and the policies of the hospital.
• Maintained documentation of patients charting on the hospital database system.
• Assisted physician and nurses in performing medical procedures when possible.

• Served as the Programs Clinical Coordinator, in which I scheduled all students with the appropriate local hospital or EMS Agency to perform clinical rotations and was the liaison between all agencies.

• Responded to emergency and non-emergency calls on a military base to treat the sick and injured.
• Provided BLS/ALS/PALS in the prehospital setting in accordance with the scope of practice and state/federal guidelines.
• Maintained all EMS equipment and vehicle checks to maintain safe operation.
• Communicated with hospital personnel in patient hand off and also developed a rapport with each patient.
• Adapted to ever changing environments during the call where critical decision making was required in stressful environments.

• Served as an EMT and Firefighter after completing both Programs successfully with the agency.
• Responded to emergent and non-emergent calls within a county based EMS/Fire Department.
• Began as EMT, continued with education and became a Paramedic then promoted within the agency until I became a Captain of Fire/EMS.
• Treated sick and injured patients within my scope of practice and extinguished fire in all aspects from structure fires to car fires and also extrication. Utilized Hazardous Material firefighting and radiological emergencies in an area that had a Nuclear Power Plant.
