A full 10 years of postpartum, well baby, ob-gyn floors. Also a local job at a rehab hospital and psychiatric floors. Also many outpatient jobs such as infusion in homes and infusions centers, antepartum and well baby home visits, device education to LVAD patients, clinical mobile research nursing including blood draws, specimen collections, centrifuging, preparing slides.

  • 13 wk contract + 13 wk
  • Extension in med surg float pool sent me to 14 separate units
  • 7 med surg units (renal, oncology, ortho, dialysis, ENT), ob/gyn surgical, telemetry, pediatrics (12 yrs +), jail unit, burn unit, psychiatric unit and an observation unit, a short stay ER holdover
  • I am comfortable rotating between any of these units from day to day

  • One department with antepartum patients, progesterone injections weekly to pregnant women, diabetic teaching for gestational diabetics, zofran & reglan pumps for hyperemesis, either through a PICC line, port, or peripheral IV or subcutaneous infusion.
  • Second department worked with coumadin patients wanting independence checking their INR levels at home. Educated pt at home on how to use blood INR meters issued to patient. Many of these patients were also LVAD patients, with them in addition to the INR meter, I also distributed blood pressure cuff, scale and an ipad to enter their information that was sent remotely to their physician daily.
