Melody Ann Blue

Summary

Collaborative leader with a dedication to partnering with coworkers to promote engaged, empowering work culture. Documented strengths in building and maintaining relationships with diverse range of stakeholders in dynamic, fast-paced settings. I've done alot of different jobs but Walmart was my life! The past ten years i have been dedicated to the online grocery department where i was the department manager, team lead, assistant manager, and then became the Coach. Im known for running the best digital department in market 300 and 310. I started out in Clinton my home country store, ventured off to fayetteville for new beginnings. I was at the Walmart on Gillespie less than 6 months and made team lead over the digital department(that's what we call Assistant managers). I then got promoted to a Co that next May at the Academy Walmart on Ramsey Street. I brought that store up from the bottom of the market to the top 5. I put alot of blood, sweat and tears into my job because i love what i did. Working at a fast pace is what i do best because i had to make sure my orders went out in 4 minutes. The shoppers were timed because we had to make time for quality checks, make sure the orders were packaged in poly mailers, and prepped and ready to go by the 30th minute of the hour. Every metric had to be hit and researched on a daily...whatever we could do to make the team better we did. Closing nights i was also over the total store where we had hundreds of associates to monitor. I had to follow up with all team leads making sure all the nightly tasks were being completed, returns got dispersed, the zone was ready for opening with picture verification, and all freight was ran. I was named best closer in the market and became the only Coach added to the intervention team that helped fixed broken stores. Although i love walmart...I need a change i want something different. Online grocery was beast! I was waking up at 5am-9am running the business from the house until my opening manager came in at 9am. I would lay back down from 9-1, get to work and be there from 2-12, get home about 1-1:15, sleep til 6, get my boys ready for the bus while still watching my gif screen. I want a routine that will give me time back with my family( im expecting a grandchild in august). I come with excellent management references from every store i ever worked at...available Anyday!
