Co-Founder, Guala - Hands in Action (2016 - 2021) As an engineer, led development and implementation of 3D printed prosthetic devices at a Honduran non-profit, resulting in 150 devices provided, 2 labs funded, and collaborations with government agencies and international NGOs. Accomplishments

  • Gripper Thumb Terminal Device Applied CAM and CAD knowledge to prototype and develop a passive device that helps upper limb amputees. Integration of low cost DC components and easy-to-assemble parts.
  • 3D Printers Hub for Medical Industry Created a web-based platform to have better tracking and control of 3D printing requests, processes, materials, and profits of a Boston Scientific engineering lab.
  • Assembling and Personalization of 3D Printing Machines Developed and configured 3D Printers through the use of open-source files. Adapted and modified the mechanical parts according to needs and resources.
  • 3D Filament Fault Detector Developed a device that causes a 3D printer to "Pause" when filament goes missing or becomes tangled. After correction, the user can "Resume" the printing to complete the job. The Micro Switch connects to an online software on a microprocessor.
