In the event of an emergency or accident, the Set Medic (Me) is the first responder and should be right on top of any minor or major accident or injury. We are the primary health resource on set and should be prepared as such. I'm able to clearly fill out multiple medical reports and I have exemplary communication skills, am comfortable in extreme weather conditions such as heat, snow, rain, and wind and am willing to work long, and late, hours. I've worked closely with stunt coordinators on numerous productions, and am able to advise and assist on set safety, thereby helping to prevent accidents instead of merely being able to respond if it happens. Proactive treatment, like keeping the cast and crew warm in cold weather and or keeping them hydrated on hot Texas days.
