• Provide direct nursing care on a Medical Cardiology Med-Surg & Intermediate unit, caring for patients with heart failure exacerbations, CAD/chest pain workups, and cardiac dysrhythmia.
• Perform comprehensive assessments (hemodynamics, respiratory status, pain, neuro checks, I&O/daily weights), escalating care promptly for early signs of deterioration per policy.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and rhythm changes; support 12-lead EKGs and communicate critical findings to providers to support timely intervention.
• Administer and monitor cardiac-related medications and trend key labs to optimize patient stability.
• Collaborate with cardiology/hospitalist teams and interdisciplinary partners; participate in bedside rounds and deliver safe handoffs using SBAR.
• Serve as a unit preceptor, onboarding new RNs and nursing students through orientation, skills validation, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure safe independent practice.

Supported‬‭ elderly‬‭ residents‬‭ in‬‭ the‬‭ activities‬‭ of‬‭ daily‬‭ living‬‭ (ADLs),‬‭ bathing,‬‭ and‬ eating,‬‭ and‬‭ ensured‬‭ the‬‭ privacy‬‭ and‬‭ dignity‬‭ of‬‭ patients.‬‭ Provided‬‭ support‬‭ to‬‭ LPNs‬‭ to‬ facilitate the delivery of quality care to residents.‬
