Contracted by Akima Infrastructure Protection Services as an unarmed security guard with the responsibility of providing security services at the Naval Air Station Guantanamo Bay. My duties consisted of providing security patrols, access control, custody related escorts duties, security and safety response and surveillance on foreign nationals detained at the Naval Air Station for various national security reasons. I was tasked with observing and recording the detainees' movements within the detention facility and reporting any unusual events that threaten the security of the center or endanger life or property to the Administrative Lieutenant or Deputy Project Manager. I was also in charge of conducting continuous physical surveillance in all areas of assigned responsibility. Maintain the safety and security of all areas taking actions as required by appropriate procedure and checklist.

Contracted by Akima Global Services as an unarmed security guard with the responsibility of assisting United States Border Patrol Agents in the detention and processing of migrants detained at the Tucson Soft Secondary facility in Tucson, Arizona. My duties consisted of securing the welfare of migrants while they are detained for processing by U.S. Border Patrol Agents for various immigration benefits, deportation and removal proceedings. These duties included providing daily nutrition, medical attention, and hygiene requirements. Locate and escort migrants to their immigration interviews with Asylum officers, U.S. Border Patrol Agents and U.S. Immigration Judges. I was responsible for the intake and outtake procedure of migrants to the facility and as they entered and departed the facility. During this procedure, I was tasked with conducting pat down frisks to inspect for weapons or other potentially dangerous items and accepting and securing their personal effects.
