  • Organizing day by priority items, and assessing what needed to be processed first.
  • Three avenues of incoming referrals: Fax's, internally in EHR, and self referral
  • Scheduling referrals for 21 cardiologist, and 2 Electrophysiologists.
  • Assessing and making judgement on providers schedulers to accommodate urgent referrals.
  • Knowing all insurance companies and what is and is not required in order to proceed with the referrals.
  • Answering calls, retrieving voicemails, and calling patients back.

  • Process and submit claims for 8 chiropractors, 10 physical therapist and 1 MD. This was typically over 1000 claims over one week.

  • CPT codes- knowing which DX to pair with what CPT codes based off of the chart notes that the provider did.
  • Answering phones- being able to answer billing questions, and/or concerns with patients. Taking in payments via phone.
  • Making account adjustments via electronic payments, or paper checks into patients ledgers.
  • Scheduling- If the scheduling team was short staffed I then would assist with the call center/schedulers. This means scheduling multiple appointments since patients would see the chiropractors first and then the PT after.
