Enhanced the district wide dyslexia professional development to improve identification of characteristics of dyslexia.
Expanded dyslexia screeners in K-2 from two assessments to five assessments per student to fully identify at risk students.
Dyslexia screening data is used to place K-2 students in literacy interventions based on identified needs, including the implementation of the Build program with certified teachers providing targeted support four days per week
Improved the timeliness of dyslexia testing completion from several months to thirty days.
Established a process to promptly communicate testing results with parents/guardians and provide a comprehensive report explaining results and next steps.
Holds and manages 79 section 504 plans for students with dyslexia, collaborating with teachers each semester regarding student needs and conducting annual parent-teacher review meetings
