I entered the healthcare field as a new mom after a meaningful experience with my nurses during the delivery of my first child.  Though I did not know from a young age I wanted to work in healthcare, I always had a passion for connection with individuals and to serve my community. My nursing career in both the professional and volunteer opportunities it has afforded me, has provided that environment to connect with individuals around me while making a meaningful impact in their life during some of the most critical moments during their personal story.  Maya Angelou once stated, "They may not remember your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel".  I feel it is a true honor and privilege to have the opportunity to put that sentiment into action in my daily practice.  I am grateful to found a career I am truly passionate about and one in which I will never be able to stop growing and learning, as medicine is constantly changing.  When I am not in my professional element, I enjoy spending time with my three children, singing and traveling.
