
Mia Arima, 14, born in NYC, started playing violin at age of 5 and chamber music at age of 8.
Mia currently studies with Professor Naoko Tanaka and attends Stuyvesant High school, NYC.
In the summers, Mia has participated in music festivals such as Heifetz International Music Institute, where she was granted early acceptance and attended the past three years.
9/2020-2023: String quartets and repertory orchestra under Manhattan school of music, coaches Felipe Tristan, Tanatchaya Chanphanitpornkit
4/2020 - present :Together in Harmony- group of young musicians performing virtually or live for nursing homes and hospitals nationwide since pandemic
9/2023- present: Stuyvesant symphonic orchestra, under coach Joseph Tamosaitis, selected chamber group for the Lincoln Center Chamber ensembles program, 'Sing!' - an annual student-run musical production program.
Mia has won prizes in numerous competitions such as American Protege international competition, Prima Volta competition, Vivo competition, Elite international competition and Crescendo International competition. she has also performed at various halls, including the Carnegie weil Hall, Lincoln center and Merkin concert hall.
