Key Qualifications & Responsibilities

• Engaged with 50+ undergrad and graduate students from all areas of study in one-on-one and group tutoring sessions providing guidance on various writing assignments in 45 minute virtual sessions through Microsoft Teams.
• Worked with students using a non-directive tutoring approach relying on socratic questioning and instilling the student with confidence in their own abilities while providing helpful feedback, resources, and answering writing questions.

Key Achievement

• Responsible for creating 3 webinar presentations on different essay genres and reading methods for college students which were adopted by the CSUSM writing center and presented to students on a weekly basis. Additionally individually responsible for leading over 30+ of these 50 minute webinars to CSUSM college students.

Key Qualifications & Responsibilities

• Interned as an embedded tutor for a general education writing course in which I worked closely with the professor to provide feedback to students.
• Gained an understanding of different learning styles and tutoring strategies through experience and supervisor instruction.

Key Achievement

• Received commendations from all students, the class professor, and my supervisor praising empathy, listening, interpersonal skills, feedback, and knowledge.

• Performed a range of duties to involve customer service, beverage preparation, and maintenance.
• Responsible for counting the register and closing the cafe.
• Developed positive and friendly connections with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Achievement

• Curating and expanding the drink recipes and menu for the cafe leading to an increase in drink sales.
