Tutored a diverse range of students going from younger, older, english language learners and kids with autism. Also facilitating activities for the children to do during their down time and help around the library branch.

Helped with first graders, by conducting 1-1 tutoring, and small group instruction with students that fall below grade level

Helped first graders with their phonics, letter recognition, sight word recognition, blending, and tapping out letter sounds and words.

Worked on a civic problem with a group. Researched different aspects of the issue, mine being educational inequity, and we proposed a solution to the problem. Connected with different organizations such as NYC votes and teen historical society in which learning about the different civic issues they focus on. Presented the ideas to new york city council members and other influential names connected to the civic issues proposed.

Oliver Scholars Program

Attended Oliver Scholars scholar's program for two years. The program would meet on Saturdays during the school year and daily in July and August to take classes in preparation for independent high schools.
