Successfully executed the conversion of a 200-product portfolio to a streamlined 100-product portfolio. Simultaneously oversaw the implementation of artwork changes across existing SKUs within the same timeframe. Well managed inventory to meet established conversion timelines while ensuring ample stock levels for existing SKUs, facilitating a seamless transition process. Implemented inventory management strategies to prevent mixed inventories in different artworks. Collaborated closely with product managers to identify avenues for discontinued inventories. Effectively directed contract manufacturers to deplete obsolete components, resulting in a significant reduction of Medline liabilities from $1.5M to $0.2M. Generated a substantial annual cost reduction impact of $6.5M through the successful execution of this project.
Led the creation and implementation of a sophisticated ordering calendar involving 5 vendors servicing 7 regions worldwide, encompassing the US, Canada, EU, and additional areas. This innovative calendar featured a detailed ordering guide for the current month alongside a comprehensive six-month projection. The implementation significantly facilitated vendor production planning while providing each region with precise monthly order guidance. Moreover, customized ordering frequencies were tailored to different product categories. This strategic enhancement not only boosted production efficiency but also contributed to elevating product quality across the board.
