I used my graphic design and creative thinking skills, participating on a student team to develop a children's bicycle safety playground for Lukas Gotto - Technology Integration Specialist in Alexandria, Minnesota. The project was funded by a Minnesota State Grant.
I worked with a small team of student artists to design and create a mural for Kenneth Erickson, owner of 2 Guys Pizza in Alexandria, Minnesota. This project demonstrates my ability to work collaboratively to deliver a finished and excellent artistic project.
I learned how a small business works in my summer internship at LIV, a local retail business for woman's clothing and accessories. I also learned about charitable causes as this business donates a portion of their proceeds to organizations that fight to prevent human trafficking.
I learned about merchandise preparation and placement, and customer service, navigating Shopify to process payment. I designed a business card that is given out with each purpose, as well as designing and creating artwork for the retail space and a sidewalk sign to attract customers.
