I was raised in a family owned trucking company. Early years I did all tasks that are involved in keeping a trucking company going.
I owned the trucking company from 1972-1980. After selling the company, I became an owner-operator until I was able to become employed by John Deere Logistics. I moved to Florida in January of 2003 and became employed by PGT Industries, Venice, Fl. My responsibilities consisted of interviewing, hiring, training, DOT Driver files, drug and alcohol testing and maintaining all DOT related files. I initiated electronic logs, held monthly safety meetings, did driver observation ride alongs. I was responsible for accident investigations, and all related company and DOT rules and regulations.
I feel with my past experiences, I would be an asset to your company by bringing years of experience with proper training methods and knowledge.
Thank you for considering my interest in your company.
Truly,
Michael Adams
Attended to members and quests with departure and return of boats to the dock.
Made new reservations
Maintained fleet of boats
Fueled boats, rescued "down" craft
Opened and closed the facility
I am proud of the safety program that I was able to add to while at PGT Industries.
I also was responsible for hiring a very qualified individual as my replacement when I retired 2014.
It was very important to me that the individuals I worked with respected my knowledge and work ethic.
