Perform routine, periodic, scheduled and event based maintenance on distribution and transmission class substation equipment. Troubleshoot and repair equipment. Execute Distribution and transmission switch logs. Execute small scale capital work (construction). Perform monthly station inspections and reads. Test high voltage substation equipment. Work with and assist other departments to complete various tasks and projects.

Onsite supervision of electrical contractors during capital projects. To ensure project completion to standard, on time and in a safe manor. Complete daily observations of contractors activities and job progress. Submit and oversee clearances and work as grounding observer for contractors. Work with project management, engineering, contractors and other departments to complete capital projects.

Working on a General Construction crew as a utility worker/apprentice/electrician to complete capital projects. Duties included underground construction including installation of ground grid, conduits, and pull boxes. Construction of steel structure and control buildings. Installation of high voltage equipment including circuit breakers, transformers, regulators, MOAS, circuit switchers, disconnect switches. Wiring and testing of high voltage equipment, protection/automation relay packages, SCADA and communications equipment, AC and DC distribution panels. Testing equipment, assisting electrical technicians in testing and commissioning of high voltage equipment and relay/protection packages.

As a subforeman duties included daily duties of running crews and capital jobs. Managing planning and execution of construction plans, working with supervision, project management, other departments and contractors to complete work. Planning and submitting clearances necessary to complete construction.
