Upon transferring to the hotel in September 2019 the sales team production was 83% year-to-date. After spending only (3) months at the hotel, we finished 2019 at 100% year-to-date. January 2020 was the largest production month in the history of the property at $1.3M (exceeding the past record by $250K). COVID-19 losses were mitigated by offering groups to shift to 2021 with a 5% increase in rate. Our strategy evolved by becoming more wedding focused and creating a “No Commitments” wedding offer.
After joining the team as Director of Sales, the sales team went from 77% quota achievement in 2017 to 134% quota achievement in 2018. This made us the highest producing sales team in the Western Region and the fifth highest in the Americas. Marketing was brought from 100% print driven to 100% digital and we generated over $300K in transient guest room revenue from our Sojern digital marketing campaign alone. Our Events meeting planner's surveys increased by double digits and we finished 2018 with the second highest scores in the Andaz brand. We broke the record for most guest room revenue generated in a single month in January of 2019. Upon being promoted, our quota achievement was 131% year-to-date.
