Accomplishments

  • I was the Senior Patrol Leader of my Boy Scout Troop for three years. As such I lead other young men in learning camping skill and life skills. I created our schedules, planned meetings, taught skills like first aid, and planned and executed camp outs.


  • I am an Eagle Scout. To be an Eagle Scout, I preformed a project and earned twenty-one skill awards. This project included developing a plan to help my local community. What I did was build a tripod hoist out of floor jacks and metal tubing to lift and restore head stones at a local cemetery. To complete this, I did lots of research and communication. I had to acquire all of the materials I needed and assemble them. Some of the pieces were even welded together. Assembling the tripod hoist required a lot of attention to detail as there were many pieces to put together and many pieces that were cut and drilled to precision. After testing the tripod hoist, I along with fellow boy scouts reset nine head stones at the cemetery. This was done with the permission of the caretaker of the cemetery.
