I grew up in a small town in Pa called Beaver Falls. I left there on March 23, 1993 for the Marine Corps. I spent four years in the Marine Corps, where I worked in a Logistics related field. I got out of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Va and decided to stay in Va for work. I got out of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Va and decided to stay in Va for work. I started out doing Iron Works but after a major knee injury, I decided to go into carpentry work.
I worked for a few people and decided to give it a try for myself. I did pretty good financially but it wasn't what I wanted to do forever. In 2008 I decided to get a Class A CDL and try something different. I went to school on the weekends and easily achieved getting my CDL. I then took a driving job for Pepsi and did that for a year and a half. I wasn't making enough money doing that so I went back into construction. After two more years of that a friend of mine called and said that US Foods is looking for drivers.
I received a call from the Transportation Manager at US foods stating that he is interested in interviewing me. At the time I lived in South Carolina but he took a gamble on me and I went to Va to interview. I was offered a position as a Delivery Driver and I moved back to Va. Two and a half years later the same manager and a Supervisor was begging me to stop driving and join their team as a Supervisor. I have been doing that for over seven years now and I am now the most senior Supervisor in our Transportation Dept.
