Certifications
I posses over 32 different certificate in Emergency Management from across multiple agencies and am an ordained Christian Minister. All Certifications can be presented upon request.
Presently, I volunteer with the Virginia Defense Force, which is State Military Forces for the Commonwealth of Virginia known as the VDF. I work with soldiers of the Virginia Army and Air National Guards. As a NCO for the Chaplain Corps, I provide support services for the Chaplains On State bound domestic deployment missions only that often are constituted by civil unrest, large public events and weather related events. I have Emergency Operations Center training as I know how to coordinate multiple response teams in multiple locations across multiple military and civilian resources.
I have Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERT) through Stafford County Virginia in which I am capable of leading home grown local responders that provide a relief mechanism for First Responders in the event of a medium to large scale local event.
My children's ministry experience is with the Royal Rangers, a ministry of the Assemblies of God. I was able to lead young men to Christ by enabling other local church leaders to accomplish the mission of Reaching, Teaching and Keeping Boys for Christ. I began with this ministry in 1988 and continued with it until 2006. My job was to plan events which mobilized young people from across multiple states to come together in networking and fellowshipping events. My position was Deputy Sectional Commander in which I planned out events for the section, comprised of 26 churches in Northern Virginia and Maryland. I organized training, conducted background checks and mobilized children to get involved in the activities that the Royal Rangers do. I conducted church/outpost visits, organized logistics and support. As the Deputy Sectional Commander, I became Acting Sectional Commander when the Sectional Commander unexpectedly passed away. I inspired, young boys, brought excitement adventure and Christ to them through the collaborative efforts of the teamwork of the men working under me.
