Pick up loaded trailers from warehouse and deliver freight to several stores throughout the day. Unloaded freight using a manual or electric pallet jack. Used scanner to scan for freight as it’s unloaded to ensure proper delivery. Complete paperwork such as bill of lading‘s, manifest, and other paperwork for the stores. Complete a pre-trip and post trip on truck and trailer daily to ensure safety. Keep a DOT log and stay in compliance. Routinely pick up back calls and take back to the warehouse. Maintain and clean truck regularly and report any issues immediately.
Load, light and heavy equipment , such as bulldozer, Backhoe, skid, loaders, and other things onto a lowboy or dovetail trailer and secure it properly. Then deliver the equipment to its destination, and show the user how to operate it properly. I may have had more than one delivery on a trailer. Then once the trailer was empty, I normally went to a different destination and picked up equipment that a job site or customer was done with and take it back to RSC. I did that for 10 hours a day Monday through Friday. I also had to be certified on all of the equipment that I picked up and delivered.
Dedicated family dollar account. I would deliver to several stores throughout the day. Everything was hand unloaded from a 53ft trailer without the use of a dolly or pallet jack. Once empty, I would go to numerous different facilities and pick up product to take back to the family Dollar distribution Center. This job at that time did not use scanners, so you had to really pay attention to what you were unloading.
