  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, traditional hours
  • Work From Home: Regular field presence is expected for ride alongs, meetings, shop visits

Compensation

  • $79,200 - $105,600 (this minimum to midpoint range is based on Geo A)
  • Gainshare up to 30% of your eligible earnings, based on company performance

SCOPE

Directly supervises a team of claims representatives. This may include virtual and/or geographically dispersed representatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains accountability for day to day management processes such as, performance management, coaching and development, and training of claims representatives.
  • Implements Claims initiatives via appropriate change management channels and processes and is responsible for organizational initiatives that improve the overall work environment.
  • Reviews claims handling to ensure standards are being met and claims are on track for timely and accurate resolution. Determines the need for additional resources when complexity escalates.
  • Reviews and authorizes claims settlements, coverage, and liability as required.
  • Responds to elevated inquiries and complaints; resolves and/or further elevates issues as they arise.
  • Identifies performance trends and directs the remediation of team member performance deficiencies.
  • Frequent travel
  • Travel to alternate locations may be required to lead, observe, assess, and coach team members, and to attend meetings and/or training sessions, and/or to provide additional staffing.
  • Able to work assigned schedule subject to Progressive's flexible schedule policies and practices.
  • Ability to work variable and flexible hours, such as nights, weekends, and holidays in response to business needs.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 2 years property casualty insurance experience or related professional experience
  • This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • This position requires compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policies

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Individual will work in an office and field environment
  • Requires the use of typical office equipment (e.g., computers, phones, etc.) whether working from home or in office. Computer keyboarding, computer monitor and mouse use including reaching forward, grasping, finger and wrist manipulation, and neck bending and turning; near vision is necessary for computer monitor use. If working in-office, individual will work in a typical office environment. If working in an Emerging Workspace, or similar working arrangement, or working from more than one location lifting of laptop equipment, files and/or personal belongings weighing 10 lbs. or less is required. High-speed internet access is required if working from a home office, at the employee's expense unless otherwise required by law.
  • May require long periods of sitting
  • May require prolonged repetitive use of the upper extremities

Field Claims

  • Individual will work in the field, office, body shop, network shop, or service center environment and at time be expected to lift, bend stretch, walk, crouch, twist and/or lay on floor.
  • Exposure to fumes, dust and odors from chemicals/solvents typically found in body shops
  • Limited computer use requiring repetitive upper extremity movement, reaching forward, grasping, finger and wrist manipulation, and neck bending and turning; near vision is necessary for computer monitor use
