The Mate position at TJ's is a very broad role that includes the full range of administrative tasks from conducting job interviews, writing and executing schedules, managing emergencies, developing crew through coaching. Working with a small team of peers at the mate position, we take direction from the captain and set the course for the Crew and handle everything that happens at the store level. It has required a great deal of flexibility and every day has it's own challenges.

Worked in all areas of store operation, from inventory order placement, stock receiving to sales and service. Drove customer experience with friendly interaction and strong product knowledge. Stepped into section leadership roles in many sections, and stepped up to the next position based on performance.

• Family business taken from a small two man team working through word of mouth references to a brick and mortar location running multiple crews, supplies and stock warehouse. This role required me to rapidly expand my skillset and was a wonderful challenge.

• I worked two different accounts for this company, first in a scripted call center doing third party verification for MCI/Worldcom and later doing customer service for Gateway Computers.
