· Leader of 750-member medical staff with in-depth knowledge of medical staff organization and structure, medical credentialing and privileging.

· Development of new professional practice evaluation process for medical staff with review of 200 cases/year and monthly root cause analysis meetings.

· Optimization of Utilization Management through initiatives to decrease inpatient length of stay (LOS) to 3.7 days in present fiscal year and observation LOS to 1.1-1.2 days in last 2 fiscal years while maintaining readmission O/E < 1.

· Decreased observation admissions from 35% (9,880 patients) of acute admissions in FY19 to 28-31% the last 4 fiscal years.

· Creation of an Emergency Department (ED) U-turn program to divert patients to appropriate care setting. Directed 600 patients to extended care sites in FY23 with an additional 450 patients discharged to home with supportive services.

· Development of a medical emergency team which saw a 37% decrease in cardiac arrests in a large academic center.

· Lead efforts in quality and patient safety, with initiation of a new Mortality Review Committee, several multi-disciplinary health system disease specific committees (CHF, VTE and pneumonia/COPD) and opioid use disorder state quality initiative.

· Innovative efforts with specialty specific telemedicine expansion including launching telehealth-based antibiotic stewardship program leading to a decrease in broad spectrum antibiotics by 24% and a projected savings of $124,000.

· Active role in Clinical Integration Network, Accountable Care Organization and for 110,000 covered lives to drive high quality, low costs care across continuum.

· Managed selection, negotiation of pricing and fees slashing costs by 50% for new pharmacy cabinets and inventory manager. Management of 4-million-dollar project.
