5 years experience in warehouse and construction settings. Motivated to pursue opportunity's for professional growth and development.
I was hired by Chubs Construction as a apprentice/laborer. I got the opportunity to work under a skilled contractor in various projects some in which include roofs, seamless gutters, vinyl siding, new construction, remodels, demolition, decks, minor electrical and plumbing.
As a forklift operator for Owl Wire my job was to keep an inventory record of the goods present in the warehouse, load trucks with finished product and ensuring truck drivers have all the proper paperwork for the load. Every morning I would preform safety checks on the forklift and warehouse.
My responsibilities at kraft Heinz were 3rd shift string cheese machine operator which consisted of checking the quality of the product by various test, which include salt content, density quality of peel, temperature and weight. As the machine was producing product I would check all the variables for packaging for example I would make sure the bottom and top films were aligned properly, checking air pressure, vacuum pressure and that the heating elements were clear of debris. I was able to gain leadership skills while operating by assisting and resolving problems/concerns my coworkers and I faced.
During my time at Nelson Tree as a groundsman I traveled from New York to Massachusetts weekly and was responsible for making sure all the equipment was maintained. That includes all chainsaws were topped off with fuel, bar oil, chains were sharpened and tightened as well as morning safety checks on all of our equipment and truck. I worked on an off road crew where I got the opportunity to work with and along side heavy equipment as a spotter and operator. As a spotter i would make sure all the machines were a minimum of 100 feet away from each other and pedestrians were 200 feet way. while working on the ground i would search the surrounding areas for hazards by clearing paths while chipping, dicing and ground cutting debris.
