Driven by a results-focused approach, I leveraged my problem-solving and safe driving skills at Patterson's Appliance to enhance delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction. My experience spans across teamwork, customer service, and warehouse operations, significantly contributing to a positive work environment and operational success.
Safely deliver and install residential appliances in customers' homes while maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor throughout the day. Each individual job/home is different and requires problem solving and strategy upon analyzing the layout of the area. The day would start by loading our own truck with the selected appliances that matched the route sheet, schedule our own day, deliver and install all appliances.
Organize and move bulk freight after being received and checked in. Bulk freight would be considered anything over 4 pallets and would be moved with a stand up reach lift. I would select a location depending on the item, update the map for inventory purposes and allow the location of items to be readily available for all staff.
Build and assemble furniture while maintaining the expectations of quality and production standards set by the company. Working as a team was a key component to success due to the factory being built to have chairs assembled by a team that consisted of no less then 5 people. A different type of chair would mean a different way of building it and that includes everything from the wooden frame all the way down to how it's boxed. Understanding your teams' strengths and weaknesses is huge in determining how fast you could turn the manufacturing of chairs into clockwork.
Helped maintain a positive store image by keeping entranceways clean, clear, and welcoming for customers. Helped customers take merchandise out of store and loaded items into vehicles. Operate a cash register during high volume times of the day.
