Currently working as a staff and charge nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). My responsibilities and skills are:

• Stabilizing and recovering patients ranging from infants up to the elderly post-anesthesia
• Utilized critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions based on patients' acuity levels and individual needs.
• Pain management by administering IV push and oral pain medicine, including set up and management of IV and epidural PCA pumps
• Ventilator and BiPAP set up and management
• Post-op wound are and wound vac set up and management
• Chest tube set up and management
• Types of surgeries recovered: GI, urology, general surgery, vascular, cath lab, and nuero.

Worked as a staff and charge nurse on the PICU and Pedi M/S floor. My responsibilities and skills were:

• Administered medications safely according to established guidelines while closely monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions requiring intervention.
• Conducted thorough patient assessments to identify changes in condition, promptly notifying physicians and initiating appropriate interventions when necessary.
• Providing holistic care to patients that includes parents in the decision-making process regarding their child’s care.
• Ventilator, HFV, High flow NC, NIPPV and BiPAP set up and management.
• Utilizing teamwork to provide safe and effective patient care

Worked as a nurse extern on the PICU/Pedi floor. My responsibilities and skills were:

• Assist nurses in initiating IV access
• Assist in admission process
• Daily input and output
• Conduct weight and height measurements on admissions
• Setting up rooms for admission
• Obtain and interpret vital signs and report any abnormalities to the nurse

Worked on a stroke/medsurg unit as a patient care tech. My responsibilities and skills were:

• Received report from the PCT from the previous shift
• Hourly rounds checking on patients and assisting them with any needs.
• Obtained vital signs on assigned patients and reported any deviations from normal to the nurse.
• Obtained capillary glucose checks on assigned patients and interpreted whether it was high or low and reported any abnormalities to the nurse.
• Assisted RN with wound care and wound vac maintenance.
• Turned patients Q2hrs to prevent skin break down.
• Patient hygiene and daily care.
• Input and output every shift.
