- I was a commissioning lead on the building of a new Meltshop capable of 1 million tons of hot-rolled steel per year. I was directly involved in the electrical building and commissioning of 2 40Ton AC scrap cranes, 2 300Ton AC charge cranes, 2 300Ton scrap transfer cars, and a water-cooling plant capable of >30,000 GPM while assisting with the fume treatment plant, general melt shop, and raw material handling system.
- During commissioning I oversaw 30+ contractors during the daytime shift on multiple projects. I wrote and carried out lockouts on that equipment and trained the contractors on these procedures. I then adjusted lockouts to allow another team of commissioning personnel from the overseas OEMs to energize and commission this equipment.
- Crane maintenance electrical technician for 2 years when I solved daily issues with 4 overhead DC cranes and 4 diesel genet scrap transfer cars.
- Leading teams of contractors from different companies to accomplish preventative and reactive maintenance tasks both on scheduled down time and on unscheduled reactive issues.
- Assisted in process improvement projects installing electrical drives, PLCs, and upgrading control systems.
