I have experience in geranial maintenance and repair as an able seaman. My knowledge consists of chipping, scaling, scraping, priming, and painting on deck. as a day worker, i have hands-on experience with operating of air powered tools to help handled chemicals used for deck maintenance such as acid stain remover and i am able to mix paint and primer on a daily basis. I know that after rust is properly chipped and sanded off the specific surface it must be cleaned and prepped before primer is applied to the surface. after the two-part primer coats are applied then the one-part coat is used to finish the job i am very comfortable using repair and maintenance tools such as sanders, needle guns, wire brushes, and painting tools. I have used both eclectic and pneumatic power tools, the familiarization with the tools helped me experience how designated person such as deck machinist or bosun to repair to get direction on how to use tools properly. I always keep my work areas tidy and organized to maintain a safe environment. I am fully confident in identifying the problem of deck equipment and i can also identify the repair that should be done with my own knowledge to report or report the problem to the proper personnel.
