  • Thoroughly researched specifications and data sheets for wire harness builds, including parts and applicable tooling in accordance with IPC 620 as well as internal build directives from customers including Lockheed Martin, Anduril Industries, Aevex Aerospace, Sierra Nevada Corporation, and L3 Harris among others.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in terminations involving crimping contacts, ferrules, splices, terminal lugs, soldering (cups, splices, and contacts), and shield terminations. Built harnesses start to finish, including kitting, wire printing, termination, installing metallic over braid, shielding, snakeskin/expando, heat shrink, closing backshells with proper torque specifications.
  • Strictly adhered to build drawings for all integrated sections of UAS, including wire harnesses, fuel cells, launch bracket, fuselage, ailerons, wings, empennage, canopies, landing gear, and mounting brackets for motors. Modified outsourced pieces to fit measurements and tolerance by implementing skills with bonding, sanding, match drilling and use of compressed air sanders and cutoff wheels, supplemented with Dremel and grinder for more meticulous tasks.
  • Traveled to Anduril industries to perform tasks on mobile wire harness facility for time sensitive on-site repairs and modifications for test harnesses. Collaborated and communicated with their engineering team for desired outcome and ultimate success for final builds.
  • Upheld strict quality assurance protocols to ensure all completed work met or exceeded established benchmarks before sending harnesses and UAS to customer.
  • Prevented unnecessary costs by identifying potential issues early during routine inspections, allowing for proactive repairs rather than reactive measures later on down the line.
  • Familiarized in-house database system to put in requests, add additional commentary or instructions for cataloged parts in future builds, adjust parts list for accurate billing and minimizing waste of materials.

  • Completed quality assurance checks for service work and completed documentation outlining updates.

  • Repaired and installed wiring, connectors, control boxes antennas, and other pieces.

  • Diagnosed faults or potential problems and developed resolution plans.

  • Collaborated with engineers and fellow technicians to recommend design improvements for enhanced system performance and reliability.

  • Maintained accurate records of work performed, ensuring traceability in accordance with industry standards.

  • Increased operational efficiency, systematically organized avionics workshop and tools for optimal workflow.
