I have had an extensive background in industrial maintenance as well as managing business and crews of people.
I have run my own business which was started in 1976. I joined in 2000 and it has been primarily HVAC. Our focus was in the residential field. Commercial work including walk in coolers has been in our field. Roof top commercial equipment repair has been commonplace as well. Equipment handled has been anywhere from residential tp commercial
RTU'S up to 40 tons with 460 volts 3 phase. I'm super big on training and safety to make sure nobody goes home hurt. PPE and JHA's are vital for work to protect workers. I have handled all of my invoicing, accounting and payroll. Ordering parts, equipment and having a good working relationship with my vendors has been extremely important to me. I have customers that go back over 30 years because they value how much we care for our people.
Maintained industrial diesel pumps. This involved driving a semi truck (Peterbuilt) to locations from Omaha to Knoxville to deliver pumps to industrial sites. These sites involved military bases, factories, power plants and many contaminates sites. Pumps had micro tolerances and precise work was required to rebuild them.
ASME Certified welder in MIG, TIG and stick welding. Certified in all positions including aluminum, steel and stainless steel. Performed major repairs on tanks including gas tankers, chemical tanks, dry bulk tank and pressure vessels. This included repairing leaks, reversing bulk heads and rebuilding under carriages. Also involved was performing DOT inspections.
Stocked warehouse parts, assisted an auto repair shop and helped maintain cars as well as the building.
LDC (Local Design Construction)
This involves training people to work safely and competently It is a volunteer organization that is focused on safety and working together without incident I have trained dozens of people to inspect and maintain HVAC equipment Also, involved is maintaining buildings, disaster relief and building new facilities The largest project I have helped construct is in New York and stands at 14 million square feet
