I worked in the customer service position in Joe ropers surfboard repair. The job encompassed many tasks like preparing chemicals, cleaning chemicals, filling resin, sanding fiberglass, cleaning the whole factory, preparing the shop for opening, closing the shop, making sure it was fire safe, cleaning off surfboards, inspecting surfboards, pricing, time management, stock keeping, and good customer service. It was a fast paced environment with no room for error in operations.

As a teenager I worked as a deck hand on 3/4 day boats. I would Typically work from 4:00 A:M till 9:00 P:M, 4-5 days per week. I enjoyed this job because of the outdoor qualities and being able to interact with customers and give the best quality fishing experience the crew and I could provide for our passengers. This job developed my passion for being a hard worker to earn my own living.
