In the past I have worked on several construction projects that included electrical work as well as roofing, siding, sheetrock/mudding, and plumbing. In 2002 my parents built an addition onto their home that nearly doubled the size of their pre-existing home. As part of this project, a new 200 amp service was installed, replacing the old 100 amp service. I assisted my father laying out and installing all of the new circuits in the addition which included running /securing wire and connecting and testing outlets, and fixing any issues identified by the Electrical Inspector. This past summer I’ve been working with my uncle to replace several wiring circuits in my own home due to potential hazards associated with the original wiring from when the house was built in the early 1950’s. This included updating the upstairs lighting and outlets, the kitchen, specifically the refrigerator, bathroom, and external lighting and outlets. My uncle has more than 40 years of experience in both residential and industrial electrical work. He has been an excellent mentor stepping me through the process of safely replacing the old circuits, teaching me how to properly and safely install new circuits according to building code. I enjoy working with my hands, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues. I have fixed my own cars, home appliances including coffeemaker, washer, dryer, cell phone, and replaced plumbing in my whole house.
