  • Responsibilities: Create a novel organizational structure for tactical application of strategic assets including space-based platforms, electronic warfare, and cyber. Manage relationships with national chiefs of defense in East Africa

Achievements:

  • Created the Special Operations Robotics Controller Course to train Green Berets to build autonomous and piloted vehicles including first-person view unmanned aerial systems, using locally sourced components in any given theater of operations, and tailored in form, function, and payload to mission requirements.

Achievements:

  • Pacified a roughly 1200 square kilometer stretch of southeastern Afghanistan to enable a new, sustainable microeconomy based on transportation of goods and services, supported by 120 kilometers of modern road paving, expansion of Afghan Wireless Cell Company (AWCC) signal propagation by constructing four new towers and securing the installation of hardware, establishing five Chambers of Commerce in four districts as a governance mechanism, and boosting the economic output of the region from 2.4B Pakistani Rupees ($8.5M USD, $50 per capita) in October 2009 to 10.1B Pakistani Rupees ($35.7M USD, $210 per capita) by February 2012.

Community Service

  • Established and taught an elementary-level program in the Monterey, California Unified School District from 2013-2015 to establish the principles of the 5-Step Design Process from the Stanford Design School at an early age (colloquially referred to as “Space Class”). Almost every public elementary school in the United States now has an innovation lab which is based on this course.
  • Created several emerging technology experiential learning courses in the New England footprint from January 2022-June 2023 with a focus on education and career paths, future workforce development, and also licensed dozens of recreational drone pilots with a path to commercial application.
