Standardized Low-Head Turbine: Developed a standardized 25-50 kW turbine that was able to be installed at a majority of existing dams provided there is at least a head of 5 feet. The turbine had been optimized for dams that provided the greatest potential for suitable sites and possessed practical amounts of hydropower. By designing a standardized system, a product was developed that would be apt for a wide variety of sites bypassing extensive site evaluation and design, in turn making hydropower more readily accessible to a greater market.
