• Providing facilities maintenance support to five Job Corps Center in the Southeastern United States. Work includes monitor facility repairs completed at each Center, lead a monthly meeting to review progress and assisted in the preparation of the scope of work for Center projects. Manage design/builders through the design and construction of National Projects such as reproofing and HVAC replacement and construction of a tensile structure and related site work. National Project management includes design review, schedule review, pay application review. Monthly onsite construction site visit.

• Responsible for the Department of Parks and Recreation portfolio of 80 project with a budget of $300,000. These included new and renovated parks, swimming pools and recreation buildings projects within the District of Columbia. Supervised the planning, direction, coaching and monitoring of work performed by a team of 13 project managers assigned to Capital Construction. Providing expert level project management, project and fiscal budget planning, analysis, technical assistance and guidance for major actions as well as program analysis of real estate project management and delivery activities in the District of Columbia. Implemented NetZero facility design into the portfolio. Conferred with the Mayor’s office and multiple governmental official within the District government on project status and community updates.

• Oversaw new and renovation construction projects within the Life Bridge Health System. Provided daily hands-on leadership to team while effectively managing all aspects of each project. Managed project budgets of up to $10M. Built a successful team by offering project managers additional training and mentor-ship. Oversaw the addition of a new MRI scan room and radiology renovation valued at $3M. Spearheading the $10M renovation of an existing 11,500 square-foot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, coordinating all aspects of the project. Reviewed project plans and specifications, established contractors construction and reporting requirements, and supervised the operations for conformance with project plans; and managed project budgets consistent with client budget rules.

• Directed a wide range of construction and refurbishment projects with budgets ranging from $1M to $70M. Defined project scope, procured architectural and construction. Oversaw the design and implementation of FF&E Managed projects using eBuilder software. Guided a team to renovate medical office building shell space to expand the oncology department to accommodate more patients and provide additional treatment space. Provided management and oversight to a team of 3 project managers during a $70M project that overhauled several offices into patient exam rooms throughout the region in six months. Balanced team tasks, quality, schedule, and budget across multiple departments to successfully complete projects on-time.

• Communicated with clients to gain a better understanding of their needs and advise on the design of their projects as a consultant for religious facilities. Partnered with clients to successfully complete projects that matched their unique vision and budget requirements.

• FF&E Project Manager

Directed the initial outfitting of FF&E for a new medical offices and waiting rooms for a large design-build renovation project. Coordinated furniture procurement logistics for the multi-phased, $49M project. Tracked owner-occupancy plans to accurately schedule vendors to ensure on-time furniture delivery and project completion.

• Senior Project Manager - Durham County North Carolina Public Schools

Prioritized work and multi-tasked to simultaneously manage two school additions and renovation projects and the new construction of a LEED New High School. Supervised professional and administrative staff in the disciplines of FF&E procurement, engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, and facility management. Leveraged Constructware to track budget and project logistics. Ensured renovation project were completed to satisfaction despite delays and changes to project requirements.

• Project Manager - Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy, Quantico, VA

Oversaw multiple facility construction projects, such as firing range repairs, FBI training classroom renovations, and other facility upgrades. Evaluated contractor bids to ensure adherence to strict government compliance regulations and standards. Reviewed and managed construction documents. Obtained Top Secret Security Clearance for this contract assignment.

• Project Manager - Montgomery College, Silver Spring, MD

Appointed as the owner’s on-site representative. Spearheaded the $30M renovation and transformation of a 1940’s-era commercial bakery into an innovative academic art project. Reviewed all requests for information and change order proposals, preparing construction reports and documents as needed. Handled any potential construction issues and providing monthly work progress reports.

• Managed a large project on a contractual basis: the design and construction of a 77,000 square foot classroom and a $20M facility office renovation. Assisted in developing the audio-visual standards for classrooms campus-wide.
