Been working since I was 15 to keep myself busy and not fall into a life that many of my friends did . Worked nights , days , weekends, drove all night to get to jobs and worked split shifts . Pretty easy going guy , been told by many people I am old souled.
First part of working there was night shift which consisted of wrapping and loading semi trailers to be distributed. Was there for a little while then switched positions to run one of the cnc saws.
Second part which was pour line is where my job consisted of building and tearing down / cleaning the head which the chemicals came out of in certain portions and siv packs to pour foam.
Was certified in fusing hdpe pipe from 1.5 inch up to 14 inch I believe . Total pipe welded together is roughly 12-15 miles if I had to guess. Daily operations ranged from hydro vac to running equipment (hdd, excavator, Dozer, class A cdl trucks )
Locating utilities using the hydro vac and piloting out the drill rig .
Laborer duties helping the pipe crew with their day and running haul truck, excavator , little bit of dozer , pretty handy of the roller .
Learned a large amount in the field about being able to look at the ground and find the better and more efficient way to get the task at hand done
Mostly the same as the time prior with the exception of running the at60 drill and going down to California and we joined local 3 to do a job in Antioch for a brine line that got put in.
Good experience for the other companies I worked around but do not have anything to say about this company.
Mainly to safely guide the drill operator to the exit side without hitting any utilities and being on depth / direction for where the bore need to be.
Pot holing to find and verify utilities .
Safe operations so everyone goes home .
Job included the pulling of the valves at mills and power plants across the pnw and either field testing them or taking them back to the shop to get evaluated on what repair needed done . Have experience getting permits need for hot work , confined space , various other permits needed to complete the task before continuing along with filling out JSA’s .
