Projects have provided exposure to a variety of disciplines and equipment, including electrical & control systems, rotating & fixed equipment, and civil/structural work.

Responsibilities have included major replacement and modifications to facility heat exchangers and pressure vessels. Managed cross-functional teams in developing & reviewing design, fabrication, inspection, and installation requirements for major equipment. Worked with equipment suppliers to maintain cost, quality, and schedule, with support from the overall project team.

Managed capital projects from initiation through closure stages. Project budgets ranged from $300,000 - $5,000,000 in value. Included oversight of pressure vessel and heat exchanger replacements/improvements.

Role included management of cross-functional teams to develop work packages for the design, fabrication, inspection, and installation of refinery equipment, including heat exchanger replacements & upgrades. Worked with suppliers and third party technical representatives to maintain equipment quality, cost, & schedule.

Responsible for short and long-term reliability and repairs of general fixed equipment throughout refinery, with a focus on heat exchanger improvements. Experience in maintenance supervisory execution roles, through temporary assignments in both routine and turnaround environments. Lead engineer through a variety of turnaround events and equipment failure investigations.

Worked with cross functional teams to develop technical specifications for equipment bid packages and provided input on supplier selections. Reviewed and approved supplier technical submittals for a variety of ASME Section VIII & TEMA designed equipment, including shell & tube and fin fan style heat exchangers. Applied ASME, TEMA, and API code knowledge to the design of both new and replacement heat exchangers & vessels.

Experience working with equipment in Crude Processing Units, Saturated Gas Units, Sulfur Plants, Utilities, Hydrotreater Units, and API storage tanks.
