I have referrals from company owners, company president, plant managers, supervisors. I have never been asked for a welding certification so I have never attempted to get one.

  • The company expects someone who knows each of the phase of the welding process that goes into building aluminum boats and is capable and willing to fill in when people have to miss work.They also expect there leaders to try and coach the other team members by giving them the knowledge they need to do a job in the most efficient way and promote a positive attitude
  • I myself expect myself to lead by example, nobody wants to be told what to do by a lazy person.

  • Vexus boats expected their leaders to be self motivated and to be a motivation to the rest of the team
  • Their leaders had to have knowledge of each step of the weld process and know the quickest and most efficient way of getting each task accomplished as well as being able to teach it to others
  • The leads were expected to do the R and D process of the new model boat sude by side with the engineers
  • We were required to be capable of operating the forklift, the bender,hand held plama cutter, as well as minor maintenance to our welding machines such as blowing them out,changing bad rollers,changing leads or gas regulators, as well as check the gas lines for leaks on a regular basis and we spent a big majority of our time building boats.During my time at Vexus I was a lead over the pad boat line as well as the RB Bay Boats.

  • I moved from Texas to Arkansas to start over and the only job available was in the seat department so I assembled seats for 6 months until a welding position became available
  • I worked as a aluminum welder for the next 8 months and during this time I learned to build their Mod V line up of boats,the Pad line up of boats ,and the Deep V line up.After 8 months I was made team leader.
