Started as a conveyor personnel in 2001. Worked my way up to a Senior Operating Technician before the company shut the gates. My job as a S.O.T was to make sure Safety was everyone's top priority. My daily job would be to get all the customer orders lined out for the day then I would go to my specified work area which was the finishing mill. I would set the mill up per size we would be running for the day. Every 30 minutes I would get a test bar to take proper measurements with a caliper and/or a micrometer. If it was out of specification I would make the proper adjustments then notify the supervisor.
