Through the past 20 years I have worked in just about every part of the forestry industry from managing and evaluating both private and public lands to selling veneer domestically and abroad. The majority of my career has been as a self employed logging contractor where, at its peak, had three employees and handled all areas of timber production. I utilized many of those skills while also learning various other skills as a highway maintenance worker. After that tenure, my career went in a completely opposite direction when I assumed the role of stay at home dad. This was by far my most challenging role but my most rewarding.
* Trained new team members on equipment operation and safety standards.
* Hand felled, skidded, bucked up, and transported logs to the mill.
