- Responsible for helping to train new Direct Care Professionals.
- Assist the Program Manager in supervising the daily implementation of the residential program.
- Assist to design and implement behavioral management systems. Also ensure that Direct Care Professionals implement the training they have received and work with them on any deficits.
- Generates new forms and program procedures as needed. These include, Shift planning forms, block schedule planning, debriefing forms, treatment review forms and behavior plans.
- Provides direction and feedback to Direct Care Professionals and meet with them regularly for staff meetings.
- Implements skill acquisition for clients and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups.
- Run groups, plan activities, teach basic living skills and model appropriate behavior.
- Plan and implement recreational, social, educational and other developmental programs assigned for individuals.
Use various behavior shaping techniques such as backward chaining, prompting hierarchies, modeling as well as various point-and-level systems, such as PECS, Murdoch Task Analysis System to reinforce pro-social behaviors
