Michael Kuhn

Became a member of Local 420 on July 2, 1998. Previous to joining the steamfitters union I had worked in the gas utility industry as a union laborer for Henkels & McCoy. After a period of six years I sustained an injury to my knee. Following intense rehabilitation, lasting approximately 18 months I went back onto the industry for three years, ultimately joining Philadelphia steamfitters union Local 420 . Throughout my tenure of employment, for various contractors I have sustained a broad knowledge of the utility industry, highlighting my understanding of natural gas, from production through distribution. I have worked as a fitter, fitter foreman and BUILDING TRADES JOURNEYMAN. In total I have over thirty five years of experience.
