Michael McLean

S.P.A.R.K is a volunteer program I founded at Berkeley Carroll. The program consists of groups of students traveling to our lower school building and doing activities with 2nd grade classes. These activities include reading, drawing, and playing class games. My experience volunteering has been amazing and I enjoy being able to assist children and the joy and laughter they produce makes my experience even better. Doing this program has strengthened my people skills as well as my skills understanding and helping children learn

I have been taking care of and watching my little brother and cousins for a little over two years now. During the summer I would watch my little brother while my parents were at work. Also, whenever my little cousins would visit my house and our parents would leave to go out they would become my responsibility to take care of. I have had fun doing activities with them keeping them entertained and I enjoyed cooking for all of us as well.
