Summary

Michael is an award-nominated and award-winning Actor whose acting career spans 60+ years. His acting career began as a 16-year old sophomore at Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan, then continued as he majored in Theater Arts at Ohio University in Athens, OH. Upon graduation (with honors) from Ohio University in1970, Michael was commissioned a Second Lieutenant of Infantry in the US Army and began what became a 30-year career as a US Army Officer, retiring as a Colonel of US Army Air Cavalry in August, 2000. Throughout his US Army career, Michael was able to continue as a performing artist by acting in community theater productions of numerous plays for the various community theaters that were located on the US Army bases to which he was assigned both in the United States and over-seas in Germany. Following retirement from Active Duty in the US Army, Michael immediately joined Compuware Corporation, a Detroit, MI, based Fortune 1000 IT Company. Michael took over as the Managing Director of Compuware's Northern Virginia Main Office located in Tyson's Corner, VA, with two sub-branches located in Richmond, VA, and in Baltimore, MD. As the Managing Director, Michael was responsible for leading and managing nearly 300 IT Professionals and Administrative Support Personnel all 300 of whom were spread across the main office and the two sub-branches. Michael's Branch provided IT support to Federal, State, County & Local Government Agencies and Offices and IT support to several Commercial/Industry customers. After three-plus years with Compuware, Michael resigned on good terms and became a highly successful and sought-after Defense Consultant. Michael finally retired from work completely in 2009. However, after 8 years of full retirement, Michael got an itch to start working again, and in 2017 he became a ride-share Driver with Lyft, and drives throughout in the greater Washington D.C. region. In his 7+ years with Lyft, Michael has given rides to over 16.500 passengers! Michael has been married to his beautiful wife, Linda Gayle, for over 37 years. They have two wonderful children: their Daughter and her husband who work and live in the greater Atlanta, GA area; and their Son and his partner who are living and working together in Richmond, VA.
