-Assist crew with loading and installation of wooden, and or steel poles.

-Preps material for jobs such as cross arms, transformers, and lightening arrestors.

-Drives company vehicles with trailers and power dolly’s.

-Attends night school two days a week.

  • Assists in the new construction, maintenance, and installation of high voltage cable
  • Makes 600A t-bodies and 200A elbows for vaults, switches, and padmount transformers
  • Assists in the installation of padmount transformers, vault type switches, and vault transformers
  • Climbs poles to assist journeyman with installation of switch racks, t-arms, and the termination of potheads
  • Uses hot line tools to install and remove grounds on transformers and poles
  • Sets up rigging in man holes, and or pedestals to pull cable to said destination
